General Information about our Customer:
Our customer is active in the European Space Industry. He develops and produces important equipment such for several kinds of satellites (navigation, telecommunication, weather, and environment).
Objective of the Job:
Assurance and enhancement of quality within space projects by activities assigned to the QA department:
- Companionship and support of integration and test activities in the frame of activities in cleanrooms, laboratories and test facilities by applying the relevant ECSS standards e.g. ECSS-Q-ST-10 and ECSS-Q-ST-20
- Increase of internal quality, flexibility, operational capability and efficiency of the QA Department
Your Tasks:
- Execution of inspections (inspection points = IPs) and records control during manufacturing, assembly, integration and test (MAIT) activities including mandatory inspections points (MIPs) und key inspection points (KIPs):
- Preparation and Execution of MIPs / KIPs / IPs based on the description of work packages for QA employees in the CWA process S01-02-02 in the quality management system
- Preparation / checks of QA internal documents
- Inspection of hardware and checks on documentation including companionship of tests
- Examination of usability of tools, measurement equipment and life limited materials
- Creation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) including information to the Senior Inspector or Quality Assurance Manager and (if needed) support during non-conformance review boards (NRBs)
- Execution of special inspections based on education
- Support of the project internal technical lead (Senior Inspector or Quality Assurance Manager)
- Takeover of receiving or outgoing inspection activities in daily business if needed
- Information and experience exchange between projects including participation to recurring meetings within QA and related interfaces
- Specific for QA Engineers:
- Initialization and execution of projects related to standardization and development of the QA department and its interfaces
- Conception, structuring and development of the internal QA training courses (so-called QA Academy)
- Creation and recurring preparation of controlling instruments for all groups within and the complete QA department (KPIs, Shop Floor Management, Analysis etc.)
- Temporarily or permanently other reasonable and equivalent activities according to existing knowledge and skills
Your Profile:
- University degree in a technical domain OR completed technical apprenticeship with relevant professional experience in the quality domain or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of the execution and documentation of inspections; problem-solving ability
- Advanced knowledge and applications for documentation, analysis and presentation of project results
- Basic knowledge of project management and lean management methods and approaches
- Good presentation skills
- Good knowledge in MS-Office
- Good communication and cooperation skills
- High decision-making ability
- Willingness for travelling and shift work
